Easter Sunday, 5th April 2015.
5k & 10k walks. Check-in at the kennels 10:30am. Depart 11am.

No sooner do I mention one event than I remember another that deserves a shout out..!

If you’ve been browsing my pages you might have noticed that I do volunteer dog walking for Stokenchurch Dog Rescue. They’re an absolutely fantastic organisation that has been rescuing and re-homing dogs for more than 50 years, and it’s a real pleasure to be able to help out now and again.

As a self-financing charity they’re continually fundraising with activities such as street collections, quiz nights, jumble sales and village fetes etc, and on Sunday 5th April 2015 they are running one of their sponsored walks. You can bring your own dog, walk one of the residents (arrange in advance), or ‘go solo’ if you’d prefer. It’s good fun and a great way for a bit of exercise all round!

Here’s a short video giving you some idea of the brilliant work they do, and another showing four fab staffies having a crazy fun time in the Enrichment Garden..:)

If you’d like to join the walk, and at the same time help the charity, you can download the 5k or 10k sponsor form here. The forms contain all the instructions and guidelines as well as contact names and phone numbers.

So… “get fit, have fun, meet and make friends – furry and otherwise” and enjoy a great time out on Easter Sunday 🙂
